In everything …

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.

  • Colossians 3:15 (King James version of The Bible

Hmmm… how do I begin? Here we go …

Considering the situation where the entire nation is in right now, one might find it difficult to see things in a different perspective.

Yes, there are people who are now in dire situation, some are backed up against the wall, don’t know what to do anymore.

From pandemic to the destruction brought about by the strong typhoon that just passed by not so long ago, some lost their home and livelihood.

How do we go from here?

Let me appeal to the inner senses. Let us stop and think for a while.

In the morning, when you wake up, you rip yourself out from bed, it entails strength to do it.

You feel pain? It means that you are alive.

Complaining that you have plenty of dishes to wash? It means that you had meals and drinks that you consumed.

High maintenance cost of automotive? Guess what? It is because you have a vehicle no matter what simple or grand it is, the important thing is that it can bring you from point a to b (even to z)

The job that you are complaining about is the very job that others would like to have.

The children who are exhausting you are the gifts that others are wishing for, for the longest time.

The house that you are living, no matter how cluttered it is (sometimes) is someone’s wish to have.

The people that that you welcome into your life and even those you said goodbye to, no matter how painful it is to let go, are memories of experiences and relationships that you would remember and will remain in your heart and mind.

And so on …

No matter how difficult your situation you are right now, remember that there is always hope in GOD, that someday, it will be better.

Thank GOD for everything.

Now that you are 30

30 years. 3 decades of life and existence of your being.

On this chapter of one’s life, some people treat this as benchmark of their success where many have been done and achieved.

30, what’s in it to you? Take time to reflect and figure out how have you been all these years. Who are you at the age of 30? What are the things that you already have? What are your goals? Are you satisfied with your life as 30? Are you happy?

The answer to these questions depend on how we look at life. It depends on the perspective and standards that we have.

Regardless the differences in views and outlook in life, at the end, it is up to us to decide what we do, we think and what we choose in life and at the end, we are accountable of whatever the outcome of our decisions and actions.

Thanks and glory to the LORD for everything at this point in my life and everything that is to come in accordance to the will of GOD.

May the good LORD guide our steps and bless us with the love, we all need to keep moving forward.

Typhoon Yolanda Survivor of Last Year, a Filipino CPA Examination Topnotcher Today

Out of 5,540 CPA hopefuls who took the CPA Licensure Examinations only 1, 107 made it and of course, 1 has emerged on the top place.

Rommel Rhino Edusma, 25, a graduate of Asian Development Foundation College has 94.7% rating placing him on the topnotch.

What is more interesting with this man is that, aside from him being able to ace the CPA examination, he has survived the wrath of nature as well. He is one of those who survived typhoon Yolanda or typhoon Haiyan which is one of the strongest typhoons ver recorded in the histyory of humankind.

Yes, the calamity that typhoon Yolanda may have brought and caused turmoil to the lives of the people of Tacloban, but many has also been enlightened on the realizations that after losing the things that we have and hold on to, there is hope.

So guess the saying There’s a rainbow after the rain is indeed true afterall.

Thanks to GOD Almighty!

A Typhoon That is O, So Strong

Last week, a strong typhoon hit our country. Of all the typhoons that came and left, this is one of the typhoons that brought massive destruction to our place.

Like a typhoon I normally encounter, it was raining at first. I thought that it would only be like one of the typhoons that we usually encounter. But no, I am wrong, very wrong.

I woke up in the morning, earlier than the usual. There was no longer supply of electricity at home and to other nearby places. I took a peek outside and the wind was strong very, very strong.

I came back in my room and the wind gets stronger and stronger. There was this time that I found myself unable to move because of the fear that I have during the strong blowing of the winds. When I hear steel roofs making some noise, I hope that it is not our house’s.

I also thought of the strongest storm that hit our country just last year, Yolanda with an international name, Haiyan. I thought of the place and the people that it struck. I somehow felt what they did during the typhoon.

Instead of me letting myself dwell in worries and fears during that time, I knelt down and prayed to GOD to keep us safe, and thank GOD that HE protected us and kept us safe during the entire ordeal.

The following day, when I traveled I saw many electric posts that have fallen down even some telecommunication posts. Many trees and plants have fallen on the ground and on the streets, even houses, devastated.

Recently, electricity has been restored in our place as well as communication and internet, well, surprisingly and thankfully considering the destructions after the typhoon.

I hope that things will soon get better to people who were greatly affected by the typhoon.

Yes, the typhoon has shaken many but not my faith.

Thanks and glory to the greatest and kindest GOD who never failed to protect and care for us always.
