A Happy life inside the Church now on its Silk Anniversary

It is exactly 3 days before my spiritual and I cannot be more happy, yey!

When I was in elementary, there are many things that I learned about religion because here in our country, there are subjects (even in college) that teach religion.

I became really interested on the things that my religious teachers are teaching me. I used to ace the examinations that we had during those days, and in college, I also become as industrious and attentive to the religion class as I used to be when I was in elementary. But the difference is, when I was in elementary I am attentive on the class because I want to absorb the lessons being taught to us and eventually, apply the leanings on my day to day living, on the other hand, mostly in college, I am very attentive on the religious class because I was scrutinizing the teachings and things that our teacher are teaching us. I then became a critic against the religious teachings that I used to love and respect.

It may seem that I turned atheist when I was in college, but no, it is otherwise instead.

When I was in highschool, I am fond of watching tv (since my interest in writing and reading have not yet emerged) from noon (after class) up until the wee hours of the night. As I was watching tv, I came across a religious tv program, Ang Dating Daan (The Old Path) no matter how I try to remember when exactly I started watching it, I can’t all I know is that I became addicted to it I won’t last a day without watching it. Everyday, as I’m watching it, the more I learn about the truth in the Bible, I came to know GOD, Jesus Christ and the true Church of GOD, the real religion. Not only that, I came to know the things that I should be doing while living.

After graduating from highschool I stop going to church to hear mass and eventually, disregard the religious teachings that u have learned from my previous religion, entirely.

After first semester in college, during break I was baptized and accepted the absolute truth, that the Church of GOD in he Bible is “the” one and only true religion ever existed (and still existing).

October 26, 2001 to be exact. From that day on, I live and breathe the heavenly teachings that I have learned (and learning) inside the Church of GOD.

Life is not easy as a Christian. There are many tribulations and hardships it is because of GOD’s love and mercy that I am still inside the Church.

To GOD I owe all things that I have (and I don’t). Thanks to Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

and ultimately, of course …

Thanks and glory to GOD.

Thanking GOD for all reasons, anywhere

We have numerous ways in acknowledging GOD’s greatness to us. I know, as many of us are believer to GOD, know and feel HIS greatness and power in every moment of our lives.

The weather here in our country (yehey, we’re back! ;)) is not so good there have been many landslides happening in many places. Also, in one of the regions, there is ongoing war between the military and the rebels, and of course, some other problems that our nation faces. We too, as individuals have our own.

No matter how tough our days and lives are, we keep on living our lives in many ways possible.

Regardless the manners on how we deal with our lives, there is one thing that I know and certain of, and that is GOD’s power and love that keep us holding on during the hardest moments in our lives, during all our difficult times. GOD himself can make things better and in order for make us see the light at the end the darkest tunnel and to see the wonderful sunshine past every hardest of all rains.

We are thanking GOD for everything HE has done (and did not :)) to me, my husband and our family.

Thank YOU GOD! YOU never fail to amaze us! All Glory are YOURS. Amen.

Church of GOD International Members in Isabela Gave Thanks to GOD Almighty

Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel’s preaching of the word of GOD has reached the far places of the 7,107 islands of the Philippines.

From Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao many of people have turned away from their false religions to become a member of the only one, true religion.

Last Saturday, May 4, 2013 the Church of GOD International Members in Isabela have offered their sacrifice of thanksgiving to the LORD for saving them from multitude of dangers and for giving Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel as faithful leaders of the Members Church of GOD International.

One of the locales that was established in the Isabela District, Sierra Madre Coastal Area is Maconacon.

The locale of Maconacon was established in the year 2007. In there, the electricity is supplied only during night and the commodities are expensive and the transportation is limited. Not only it is limited but the way to go there is also dangerous and long. The fastest travel is through air via single engine plane from Cauayan, next is through boat where the travel would take an hour and lastly, by foot and it would take 3 and a half days plus the dangers that you would encounter along the way. Dangers, such as the rebels and vicious animals the truth that is according to the Bodgie Dy, the Isabela governor himself.

Just to share you a brief history of the Philippines, it was in Palanan, a remote location in Isabela, where Emilio Aguinaldo, a former president was captured after 2 years by the Americans in 1902 during the Philippine-American war. From then up to the present, still, there is no concrete road that has being constructed in the Sierra Madre Coastal Areas.

A baptizer was set to officiate baptism but was stranded in Cauayan airport for 2 days because it was very cloudy. Using boat as their mode of transportation, people who are set to be baptized was accompanied by the Church elders to Casiguran so that in there, they will be baptized. With GOD’s help, the baptism were able to push through despite of the hardship that they encountered along the way. On this, there 7 souls were baptized on April 25, 2013.

With the grace of GOD through Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel brethren were blessed with satellite dish receiver and generator so that the brethrens in Maconacon, Dimasalansan, Bacovian and Palanan will not be left behind on listening and learning the teachings that Brothers Eli and Daniel are preaching before the congregation.

Since there is no adequate medical centers and institutions in their area, they were also given medicines and vitamins in addition.

All thanks and praises are to GOD!

A Decade full of Meaning

When I was young, I already know that there is GOD. When I become a little older, I came to believe that there is GOD. And when I become much older I have proven and known that there is really GOD.

When I was a little girl, I used to believe that the GOD is the one who is made of cement that is displayed on our altar. There is a point during my childhood that I always come to the altar kneeling down to pray in front of the graven image. And then I have learned how to pray repetitively while holding some beads in my hands. Also, have learned how to go to a place to hear mass, inside there are plenty of those graven images that look like ours, in there they look more bigger and more colorful compared to what we have at home. During those times, I thought that serving GOD is just as easy as doing good deeds that the men in white robes are teaching, praying and kneeling down in front of those graven images and that is it, Hoala! I am going to heaven after I died!

One fateful day, when I was watching television, I certainly came across to a religious program(Ang Dating Daan). Agh, I cannot when is that day exactly. What I can only recall are the days when I feel that my day is incomplete without me watching that religious program on TV. I was very young then but old enough to understand and feel that what the host (Bro. Eli Soriano) is saying are indeed the truth because he bases his preaching solely from the bible. I always and always hear Bro. Eli Soriano say, basa! (read in English). It came to a point that I realized that the teachings and doctrines of my current religion that time are totally wrong, and to make things worst, the teachings and doctrines of my old religion are the exact opposite of what the true and undefiled doctrines in the bible says. Eventually, Ang Dating Daan has become my favorite tv program. Watching it has become my habit. Well, not only a habit but literally part of my daily routine. I feel incomplete without watching it.

Later on in my life, by watching Ang Dating Daan, I realize that my life is gradually changing. I no longer go to that place to hear mass and pray while im on my knees in front of the graven images, I no longer pray repetitively and my faith belief has started to become colder, colder and eventually, has totally gone.

Alright, at some point I need to make a decision, a major, major decision. The greatest decision in my life and yes, it is a matter of life and death not only literally but spiritually. Yes, I might be young then actually I am just a minor then, but I feel that, that decision is the greatest decision a man can make – minor or adult. I finally made up my mind (and my heart) And so I asked my mother if I can change my religion, and you know what is her answer ? (Drum roll please…) a resounding no! My goodness! That is one of the shattering moments in my life.  But since GOD’s calling is so strong that I can never ever resist, I have decided to pursue my plans. To cut the veryyyyy lonnnggggggg story short, I was baptized and become a member of theChurchofGOD International.

At first, I can say that it was easy. There was some series of drama (plenty, actually) and action (o, memories) and adventure as well. Well seriously, it was tough it was hard but it is rewarding.

Life here on earth is not as easy as riding a bike. Regardless of what kind of faith that you have, regardless of your status in the society, whether you are rich or poor – admit it people, it is not easy.

But what makes my life (and my brothers and sisters in faith) different from everyone else is that despite of  the hardship that we may have, no matter how big our problems are, no matter how complicated the situation or matters in our lives may be, we have inner peace in our hearts. We are happy because we are grateful for who we are, and what we have. This is because we have one GOD who quenches our thirst, who fills our hungry stomachs. We have GOD to shield us from any storm, protect us from dangers, who loves us unconditionally and whose love and kindness is unfathomable –

Yes, the GOD Almighty.

We also have Christ who delivered us from sins and who mediates us to GOD.

And also the Holy Spirit that assists and guides us.

If I am to die in the near future, and while I am still alive right now and able to write this blog with GOD’s help,  I would like all of you to know that I do not regret the decision that I made 10 years ago. I would like to move forward with GOD’s help and fulfill the destiny that is upon me.

Looking back from the first day that I receive the faith until this very moment, I would say that in spite of the hardships, the pains and sufferings that I have encountered. Despite of how unworthy and useless I am, I am honored and grateful to be called to reside inside the House of GOD.

And if I am to live again, my decision would still be the same. The decision that I made 10 years ago had led me to have a renewed life, a more peaceful life and a more blissful life. Residing inside GOD’s House gives me the feeling of comfort, the feeling that there would always be SOMEONE who is always here by my side whenever I am happy and whenever I am in pain.

I know writing this blog is not enough for paying even a single thing that GOD has done for me and for my loved ones but, in my humble way, I would like to express how grateful I am to be loved by GOD.

Thanks be to GOD for the wonderful decade that HE has given me. All Glory and praises are to HIM
