ASOP: the joy, excitement and the last song syndrome, relived!

It has been almost a month since the A Song of Praise Music Festival Gran Finals Night was held at the Araneta Coliseum but still its fans and supporters cant just get enough and cant just move on from it. Last night, October 14, 2012, the A Song of Praise Music Festival Gran Finals Night has been telecast on UNTV 37 and as expected, there were many who have watched it some of them may have watched it for the first time and some of them may have watched it live on the very day it was happened.

There has been a tough line line up of finalists just like the past years. The songs writers or the composers for this year have may have certainly done a good job on writing the songs.

As to the chosen singers or interpreters, the songs that they sang is just right for them, they interpreted the songs very well.

The judges have spoken not only their comments for the songs, but also in relation to the event in general.

In the end, the chosen song entries have been announced. The song “Pag Ibig ay DIOS” composed by Jaime Enriquez and was interpreted by Renz Verano bagged the People’s Choice Award. The other special award has been given to Nikki Valdez as Best Interpreter. She interpreted the song, “Pupurihin Ka hanggang sa Kailanman” composed by Annalyn Altejos. While the major awards were given to Rommel Arguelles, the composer of the song, “Reasons to Believe”, interpreted by Gian Magdangal being the 3rd runner up. The second runner went to Domingo Rosco, the composer of the song, “Puso kong Nabuksan”, interpreted by Catherine Loria. The 1st Runner up went to Annalyn Altejos the composer of the song, “Pupurihin Ka hanggang sa Kailanman” as mentioned earlier was interpreted by Nikki Valdez. And of course, the song “Purihin mo ang DIOS oh Pilipinas” has been chosen as the ASOP Song of the year. The composer is Anton Estrella and Gail Blanco as the interpreter.

To GOD, thankfully, this first ever ASOP TV Grand Finals has indeed set a good precedent for the coming ASOP TV Grand Finals ahead, GOD willing.

This A Song of Praise Music Festival ASOP is spearheaded with GOD’s help, by Bro. Eli Soriano and Bro. Daniel Razon.

Thanks and glory to GOD, forever!

ASOP: More Fun in the Philippines

A Song of Praise (ASOP) started as an annual music festival that is celebrated by the Members Church of GOD and now it has become a much awaited event not only to the Members Church of GOD but to the non-members as well.

Bro. Eli Soriano, as the proponent of this festival and Bro. Daniel Razon made this more exciting by giving the composers financial incentive for the composer whose composition will make it as the Song of the Year.

This has become the first Song of Praise singing competition on TV that started last September 2011 until August 2012 for this season. . Its 1st Grand Finals has conducted at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on September 24, 2012. As expected, there has been many who attended the event.

Let me share to you some of the photos that was taken during the events.
